The Business of Being Born

I wish I could get every expecting couple to watch this movie. We have been completely duped by the medical establishment. For instance, did you know that the US has the second worst newborn death rate in modern world?

The United States has more neonatologists and neonatal intensive care beds per person than Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom, but its newborn rate is higher than any of those countries via

We have one of the highest infant mortality rates because what we consider a 'viable infant' is considered, in much of the Western world, a miscarriage. It does not get counted as 'infant mortality' unless it's given a time of birth.

There are adults and children walking around today who would not have been considered saveable in much of the Western world.

Jack beat me to the punch.

Some European countries don't count children who die within an hour of birth as a "live birth'. That would tend to skew the numbers a bit IMHO.
