22,000 Scientist Sign Petition Refuting Carbon Footprint Initiated Global Warming
Yes that is right, 22,000 Scientist have signed. Check out the graphs on this page.
Update: I should have added a bit more info when adding this post the first time. These 22,000 scientist are not saying that there is no global warming. What they are saying is that the earth has been warming for 400 years, which coincides with the end of the last mini ice age that hit Europe. The evidence looks pretty convincing that the warming we are experiencing now has to do with an increase in activity on the sun, and has nothing to do with our carbon footprint.
Posted by gid at March 14, 2008 01:15 PMGlobal warming is very important issue which can never be neglected. As it is very fastly effecting earth.

I used to be in your camp. I am one of those crunchy cons that has recycled thinking I was doing the "earth" a favor, but the more research I do on global warming the more I realize I have been duped. I am starting to see that global warming is not caused by our carbon footprint at all. It is a farce much like the hole in the ozone layer back in the late 80's.
If you think the majority of scientists are always right about everything then you are very wrong. Science is constantly changing. The science of medicine for instance has been hurting us and killing us some times more often than helping us. #1 killer of people my age are being poisoned (dying in the hospital of complications and drug overdose) So for some reason I don't put a lot of faith in the masses of the scientific community. If a group of scientists says something is so it has often been the ones who were considered out there that were right. If you think all the garbage we are putting into this earth isn't effecting us than you are not using any common sence. If you study our own countries history about the dust bowl that happened because people were not aware or caring about soil conservation you will see that what we are doing can effect the environment and our future. Hey maybe the earth really is flat lol.
As a person of faith I am a little inclined to disagree with the so called mass of scientists in quit a few areas. There is a text in Revelation about the Lord destroying those that destroy the earth(Revelation 11:18). I just wonder what else the Lord could be talking about us destroying the earth except for our need to pollute and poison it. It is a lot easier to pretend that a problem doesn't exist then to actually admit that it could be our fault there is a problem. I am part of Global warming and pollution and I know it and I am not proud of it but I am going to keep trying to make less of a foot print every day.
Even if you are not a person of faith:In truth a lot of these things come down to common sense to me. Back in the day it was considered unhealthy to take a bath or wash a little common sense of cleaning ones self could have prevented a lot of health issues. Thinking that putting a bunch of crap in the earth and in the air is not hurting anyone...lacks a lot of common sense. Just my two cents.
