the new pair of shoes
Well I have been tired of my blogs style for over a year now, so I finally decided to do something about it. I am not totally crazy about it, but have gotten some good feedback from a few people. Leslie is not crazy about having links on the left and right. I kind of like them though.
I know I have a lot of people who read this blog who don't comment, so if you would please oblige me with a comment and let me know what you think. After all you might me looking at this layout for the next year and a half.
So what do you think? Here is the before and after if you need a refresher.
Posted by gid at January 31, 2006 04:05 PMWow, I really like the new look :)
Posted by: Andy at February 1, 2006 07:13 AMI like it a lot. Definitely better than the old one. I guess one option if you don't want links on both sides is to have two columns for links on one side. I've seen a lot of Wordpress themes that do that, but I'm a much bigger fan of a three column layout like what you're using.
Posted by: Michael at February 1, 2006 08:36 AMThanks for the feedback. I thought about going with the links being on one side in two columns. I also decided to go larger than 800x600, which i hope does not run anyone off.
Posted by: gid at February 1, 2006 01:42 PM:sniff:sniff: How could you just go and change like that? I mean, just when I was getting to know you, you do a 180 at the time in my life when I just need something stable. I may never be the same again...
;-)
(like the new look)
Posted by: brian at February 1, 2006 04:17 PMLooks good, I like the 3 column look (as you can tell from my blog).
Posted by: Daniel at February 2, 2006 06:55 AMI like it. It takes a little getting used to.
BTW, HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY TO JOHN DAVID ON FEB 2nd. Hope you will post pictures of the happy event!
Have a Blessed Day,
Sandy
Sandy. I will pass the happy birthday on to John David. :-) Thanks for remembering. So if you feel like elaborating, what in the new layout took some getting use to? Is it the width of the page in your browser? I did make it wider than normal because of some technical reasons. Well, I did it mainly because most people no longer have their screen resolution set at 800x600, and coding for that wastes a lot of space.
Daniel my subconscious must have picked up your design because it totally did not register that you had a three column layout. Go figure.
Brian, sorry about the emotional distress.
I LIKE it! And the pics of the family are fab. . .
Posted by: TulipGirl at February 5, 2006 10:50 PMThere are many other things from my blog that I am feeding into your subconscious that you may never be fully aware of!
